Steve has had a long career in the film and video industry that spans decades. Making films since before he could drive a car, he was a student at various film schools in California, including USC. His foray into legacy films came in the 1990s, on assignment to produce a video telling the story of a Portland law firm’s lengthy history. It involved research with the Oregon Historical Society and University of Oregon archives, along with interviews, B-roll, narration and many storytelling techniques he uses to this day.

In 1998, as the Production Coordinator at the largest video studio in Oregon, he learned the industry ropes by arranging crews and equipment for major TV shows and film productions. This is also when his career in voice over began, where a voice over mentor pulled him into the field. In 2002, he moved to Japan, where he continued to expand his skills and experience as a freelance producer, while his career in voice over began to take off. After twenty years of producing videos and voicing projects for household name brands, it was time to return home for family.

He knew he’d found his true calling in making legacy films and made it his sole focus upon his return to Oregon in 2022. After making legacy films for a few years under his longtime working title of Steve Edwards Video and Voice, in 2026, he founded Legacy Ever After and has been devoted exclusively to the field ever since.
